I use a MX518 on my work laptop which runs XP. I have grown accustom to mapping most of the buttons for use in playing WoW. Under ubuntu I am unable to map the on the on the fly + and - buttons.
So, does anyone have and recommendations for a mouse with around 5 or 6 buttons that can be mapped for use in gaming under linux?

I use a G5. It doesn't have the + and - buttons, but you can map the tilt scroll wheel left and right.

THanks for the link but I have already done that. I have the forward and back buttons working, its the DPI + and - buttons that cant be mapped. Sounds like a crutch but I need those extra 2 buttons ;P
Maybe I'll dust off my n52 and see how it works under ubuntu.

I have a logitech G5 and the plus and minus buttons work just fine without any tweaking. They just default to the logitech preset DPI settings. Also, the logitech setpoint software won't work on it. I love my G5 mouse. I like how it fits in my hand.
