I'm not sure if this is the specific forum but I would like a name change to, AaronMT.
Thanks in advance,

I'm sorry, we don't do this, except for rare exceptions, such as when a user's been stalked or harassed. If you've experienced something like that or feel you have a reason that makes you a special case, please send me a PM.
From the Forum FAQ (http://ubuntuforums.org/announcement.php?f=48):
Can I change my username?
No. Usernames can not be changed - dashes can not be added, lowercase cannot be made uppercase, etc. However, you may choose to create a new account. The only exceptions to this are extreme cases, such as when a user has been harassed by another user.
Note: If you do make a new account, you will have to transfer all information yourself, as we will not do this for you. Also, we can't transfer your statistics (beans, account age and the like) to the new account.

In the past you used to change other people's username - by request. Now you refuse to do it. Why? Is there a problem? I thought Ubuntu means humanity to others. You are behaving like a prison guard!

We have a small staff, comprised of volunteers.
A while back we had a sudden surge of people who wanted their names changed for whimsical reasons. While that is okay in principle, in practice it overwhelmed us.
I'm sorry the decision was perceived as malicious in intent. Honestly, it was made out of self-protection.
