Sorry but it seems St Patrick's is more fun to celebrate.

So you've never had a full english breakfast followed by screaming, yelling and chanting at people (national sports) followed then by an hour or two of mid day advanced beer glass study with Newcastle Brown Ale while watching some suitable football or rugby match; then if all goes well further chanting in the pubs and a quality game of scrabble?

Apart from the kind of beer and the fact that it isn't green and the lack of a rather fake parade with a dragon (Chinese new year confusion, very bad)

At least you can't claim today is filled with crass American commercialism, now we'll have no more be said about the Irish, they've had their day now let us have ours.

The British need to make more of an occasion of this - I'm British by birth, emigrated to Ireland, and St. Patrick's day is a national holiday, and everything is green, orange and white - they really go for it.
