Looking at the Gun Law & US Border/Immigration threads that have been closed I have a question.

Why does the majority suffer because of the actions of a few ?

I mean if someone is out of line then jail their post and issue infractions. This however does not seem to be the case. What is happening is that a few individuals spoil it for all of us that are simply having a good debate. Punish the offenders and not the greater community.

Yes, I know life is not fair but sometimes we still think we can change things ;)

To a point I agree with you Mips. However some threads just run out of usefull life and drift on becoming more silly as they go. Others are just bad and need to be closed.

There does seem to be a very very small minority of members who seem to deliberately set out to wreak some threads.

The staff try to keep threads on track and deal with bad posts , but despite warnings etc , the small minority I referred to above continue to act in a way that forces staff to close threads. An action we would prefer not to do but in a busy forum such as this ,it is often the best thing to do. We cant bet in every thread all the time .
