I'm just wondering what GUI Addons everyone uses for wow. I have been looking for a interface bar addon to add another row of commands. Switching between 1-6 while in combat gets really annoying.

Titan bar rules. So does Metamap and flagrsp2.

Titan bar does not rule.. it's the most generic, mindless, overused mod in existance.

And Drezliok you may want to check out Trinity Bars (http://wowinterface.com/downloads/info6391-TrinityBars.html).

I use loads of addons.
This is how it looks now:

Stuff like:
AG_Unitbar
Skinner to give it all this glossy black look.
Prat for enchanced chatting
Simpleminimap
Minimalist for alot of minor but nice changes, like autorepair, autodismount etc.
Buffalo moves buffs and redesign their positioning.
Bartender3 Gives these nice bars, and when I press ctrl, a whole new row of buttons replaces the one I already got for spells I don't need in battle.
Cartographer Map replacement, also includes maps for instances with loottables, coordinates and ALOT more.

I also believe Titanbar is kinda unneeded.

Bongos: Learn it, live it, love it. It will allow you to rearrange, resize, etc. Your action bars, casting bar, just about everything. Also, Auctioneer for AH pricing, Titan for coords, Metahud for displaying life/mana bars around your character and bagnon to combine all your bag slots into one big bag.

The setup that I have for wow and has always worked for me is to download WowMatrix and install addons from there. it should run prefectly with wine, and it is a good app to have because it automatically updates your addons whenever you run it and it launches wow right from the app. This is also good because of the new wow patch not all addons work, so having your adons up to date is good. The addons that I use are Cartographer, Auctioneer, QuestHelper, and Quartz. makes the ui really nice and helpful to most players and classes. I have used an addon called Gatherer before, but it caused wow to crash before when i ran on windows, I dont know if it still does, but is good for your gathering professions like mining, herbalism, etc.

You guys are going to laugh but....

I just said "screw Windblows" and did a full install of Ubuntu on my partner's machine. On mine, I'm still chicken (it's a high end gaming machine), and just did a Wubi install. But I'm LOVING it all...on BOTH machines. (She's not good with tech stuff, so it's my job to "do" everything.)

Got WoW re-installed for her and it's running like a charm. I was quite proud of this, as it took patience and tweaking. I used Wine. It was more time consuming than difficult, actually.

So here's the deal....

She is TOTALLY addicted to some of her addons, in particular...Bejeweled. *sigh* I know, I know....she's nuts. But can I re-install her blessed Bejeweled so that the poor woman doesn't get so BORED waiting on guildmates and flying to and fro? She's just lost without it. LOL Cracks me up, but...yeah.

For myself...I don't have to worry about any of that yet, because I'll just boot to Vista (grrr...even though I HATE Microshaft) when I want to play.

Any tips or "how-to" pages you can direct me to for installing WoW mods in Ubuntu?

Thanks!:guitar:
