using wine for Starcraft and battle.net

Hi everyone, need some help trying to figure out how to play Starcraft:broodwar online in battle.net or through LAN or w/e. using WINE. The game is able to play in the campaign stuff but it cant seem to go to the Battle.net menus I am able to go all the way to the selecting US.EAST screen but once i select it and i try to connect to a server it goes black. I dont know what to do please help.

If you haven't already, read through that and see if any of it helps. After just a quick look though, it doesn't seem that battle.net works with WINE.

have you downloaded and installed teh patch for the newest version? could be that it can't upgrade the game via the battle net downloader and patch it, i don't know personally about battle net but mine works fine under lans with UDP (which you need a newer version to have available aswell)
