Upgrading from Ubuntu to Ubuntu CE

Hey, I'm new at Ubuntu so not very savvy with command line and the like.

I'd like to upgrade to CE edgy but I don't want to have to loose all the software and files I already have. Is this possible?

You can use the convert_me (http://www.whatwouldjesusdownload.com/christianubuntu/2007/02/ubuntu-ce-v2x-edgy-downloads.html) script to go from Ubuntu to CE. Simply download, unpack it, and click on the convert_me file. Tell it to open in terminal, enter your password, and it will do everything for you.
