Half-life saga ? Medal of honor ? (you could run a gazillion windows games through certain applications) check with transgaming.org/gamesdb for more information on this.

Hey fireedo, I know you were trying to get ET working a while back. I know you have a slow internet connection, but you can still play ET over a local LAN and host your own games. That's one option, assuming you have some buddies who don't mind hauling their computers over to your house (or elsewhere) for a LAN gaming party.
Outside of that, I'd recommend buying some old Loki titles off eBay if you can. You can always play Quake III in single player mode, going through all the different levels and at different skill settings. Then there's Doom III (of course). You don't want to miss playing that on Linux! An absolute must!
* And definitely visit happypenguin.org and do a search on 3D accelerated games with a 4 star rating or better (http://happypenguin.org/test/list?s_title=&s_author=&s_company=&s_description=&s_requirements=&s_category=any&s_rating_op=gt&s_rating=4&s_license=any&s_sound=yes&s_source=any&s_x11=yes&s_console=any&s_3d=yes&s_multiplayer=any&s_network=any&submit=Search&.cgifields=s_rating_nr). You will turn up quite a bit of good hits!

No, not really. Except for some training missions, America's Army is all multiplayer.

Compaired to a game like Counter-Strike which has no missions what so ever and is strictly multiplayer I'd give America's Army a both....

Actually Cube is a really good FPS that you can play single player.

It's strictly multiplayer. The practice campaign is shorter than short and is no fun. Counter-Strike does not aim to have SP, we have Condition Zero for that (Valve fan over here, watch out).
