Any one here running Kphotoalbum on their windows machine?
I would love to put it on my home XP machine but am a totall newbie doing anything this deep, I read the wiki
http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=KPhotoAlbum+on+Windows
and got stuck soon after installing the cygwin and the various required packages.
The line:
compile libkexif, libkipi, kipi-plugins as usual with
./configure --without-arts
make
make inst
This Is where I stopped. Saying "compile as usual" to someone that knows how to do it is ok, but to someone who does not have a clue, it does not really help a lot.
There are also instructions on the source download page:
http://kphotoalbum.org/download-source.html
but even that left me a bit lost as to what should be downloaded, and then what to do with it?
If anyone has clearer instructions, or can suggest a good place to start reading that would be great.
I am quite happy to learn new stuff and have just installed kbuntu on a spare machine to learn a bit about it. But, the home machine, I really just want to get on and use the machine without having to understand how the programs are installed and compilled. So a ready compiled installation for kphotoalbum for windows, would be even better.
Thanks
Neil
