If you are using a Titanium Powerbook G4 15" (or similar) and you need your sound card to work then you might want to hold off upgrading.

Thanks for this! At first I thought they discontinued PPC support.

I'm new to Ubuntu, actually never used it before, but was thinking about putting it on my Titanium Powerbook G4 15". Where would you recommend that I get started? Where would I track development so I'd know when sound is working? Thanks for any help!

the bug report is at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/87652
currently it seems that the next version of the kernel 2..6.21 (which should be released in a few weeks) fixes the issue. If someone could isolate the fix it might be possible to get this fixed in the official ubuntu kernel, but this is unlikely.
more likely is that in a few when 2.6.21 is released someone (maybe me) will make a unofficial kernel, that people can use.
If you want to be kept up to date you can subscribe yourself to the bug page. (you may need to create a launchpad account)

BUMPING this thread for the many posts of 'where is Feisty for PPC'?
I've tried contacting the mods of this section, with no reply. We need a moderator to handle stickies.
