Hello all,
Last week I installed Ubuntu 6.10 on my 300mhz G3 iBook. The installation went well, and the iBook stared up fine from the hard drive. I noticed a problem though: when the updater window opened, and it would go through its motions, the graphics would not draw clearly. If I moved the window around the screen, say from left to right, there would be a trail of updater windows, and they would not go away.
The same thing happens to anything that is drawn on the screen, is moved, or even closed.
Updating the software didn't help.
Except for a larger hard drive and more RAM, this computer has not been changed hardware wise since I got it. It had Mac 10.3.9 on it and I had no problems with graphics then.
Any ideas of what's going on?
Thanks!
Patrick
