Hi,
Got ubuntu running in a vm with dansguardian/tinyproxy/etc (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=237355&highlight=dansguardian).
Redirected my physical xp box to use the vm as its proxy on port 8080 and it seems to work fine, get blocked when searching for obvious terms.
However occasionally (normally when having multiple tabs open on firefox+xp). I'm getting the following tinyproxy cache error "The following error has occured: tinyproxy was unable to connect to the remote web server."
And thats when searching google or connecting to bbc.co.uk - sites with plenty of bandwidth. Set my xp box to no longer use the proxy when those errors occur and firefox connects fine.
So whats the prob? Is it cos i've got ubuntu in a vm? Tinyproxy config? or other?
Thanks
Ben
