Summary:
Dragging tabs between apps and the Desktop panel, and/or between compatible apps.
Rationale:
Many users use tabs in multiple apps, sometimes they have to open the same document in another app, just to use a functionality in the other app. This is also usefull when surfing the web, if you feel that you have to many firefox windows open in the Desktop Panel, you can move them up to the firefox/konqueror app tab-panel.
User cases:
Bill writes a php application in gphpedit. A few files includes lots of html code so he want to use them in a more html friendly editor. So he opens his favourite html editor and open them manually through the open dialogue. The problem is that the filenames is so long, so he has to switch back to his old app to re-read the file name.
With the integrated-tab-dragging functionality enabled, Bill selects the tabs and then drag them to the other applications tab bar. This process makes this work about ten times faster.
----
Steve have his too much windows in the desktop navigation panel. Most of these are browserwindows that wasn't originally opened in tabs, but as windows, because the webpage he use opens a new window for every link he clicks. He still want to have the windows open. but in tabs.
With the integrated-tab-dragging functionality enabled, Steven selects the tabs and then drag them to the other applications tab bar. Making it that way without that function would require a lot of manual work.
