software RAID 1 with ide disks

Hi guys and galls,

After haveing some troubles with old scsi disks (and not making back ups, shame on me) im fed up with the loss of data.

So i have 2 ide disks 80 gig and i want to turn my webserver into a software RAID beast.

Do you guys have any tips or tricks for me? Like 2 disks on 1 cable or not, that kind of stuff.

I think I have tried every possible combination of RAID using IDE using disks and all worked just fine.
If you do have two spare channels then use them both instead of putting both disks on the same
channel-it should be faster
