What do i do with mailing lists

I need help for lyx, but they have no forum, just a mailing list, and i have no idea, what to do with that. How do i ask for help there, and how do i get answers?


BTW. Has anyone of you gotten lyx running stable either on windows 98 or on debian woody?

You start by subscribing to the mailing list, the procedure is hopefully described on their site (this is like getting a forums posts to your inbox), then you send your question to a mail address (also specified on the site) and hopefully someone will answer your question.
