Wouldn't it make a lot of sense to have a human theme for those gtk1 applications that everyone likes?
One of the reasons I like industrial so much is that it has a matching gtk1 engine.

Well a lot of people run xmms and mplayer.

clealrooks is gtk2 only and a few apps doesn't justify devel on a gtk1 engine
http://kwh.kernow-gb.com/~bvc/theme/gtk/Industrial-Human.tar.gz
put the gtk directory in the /usr/share/themes/Human directory

The industrial engine with brown highlights would be good enough, which is what I assume the link you gave is.
I think enough people use xmms and other gtk1 apps to justify including an engine by default, or at least having one in universe.

I still don't get why they haven't updated these to gtk2. they're great programs and I still use them regardless, but a nicer interface would be nice.

bmp (beep media player) is an xmms clon with GTK 2.x interface. however xmms still beeing more stable, and sounds better.
i think gtk 1.x still necessary for several damn good apps

BMP is actually a fork of XMMS. http://www.sosdg.org/~larne/w/FAQ#How_did_the_fork_happen.3F
Edit: I can't think of any other worthwhile apps that are still gtk1 only. Yeah, there are some good wxwindows apps that are compiled for gtk1 in Ubuntu, but most of these can be compiled (without modification) for gtk2. I think this would be a better option than "porting" Human to gtk1.
