Can anyone tell me if it is possible to run both Beryl and Murrine together? I've tried but I don't seem to be getting anywhere. I can't get Murrine to do anything.
I want to get the overall look to look like this http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Jet?content=56108
So I thought i'd use Murrine to get the striped effect but I don't seem to be having much luck.

yes. beryl is a window manager whilst murrine is the gtk theme and gtk engine that draws and colours the widgets.
you need to install the murrine theme engine. download it from here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=239378&page=42) (see post 413). the theming engine is what draws the widgets. the gtk theme is what controls the dimensions and colours of the widgets.

yeah but that still wont get the murrine theme running in the beryl window manager.
whats needed here is animated pixmap support enginge for beryl. then we can make our own flavours of murrine.

Well i've managed to get it to work (in a fashion). I use Murrine to skin certain bits of the windows and then Emerald takes over the rest.
Here is what i've managed to do : http://img459.imageshack.us/img459/2316/screenshotnw3.th.png (http://img459.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshotnw3.png)

Why in a fashion?
Murrine will "skin" everything inside the window and Emerald the window borders, it is the way it is supposed to be.
BTW Thanks for using my gtk theme :D
