The GUI allows you to set what apps will run at startup.
What you actually type in in the window (system > preferences > sessions > startup programs), however, is a command (often shortened to the name of the program as the full path is in your default paths).
If so, it shoudl be possible to modify the command keyed in the above dialogue box in order to have an app run at startup, but as a minimized window.
I'd actually like that, as the window of one app I run (the Gnome-terminal) takes up a large part of the desktop. As is, I have no use for it staring at me as I log in, and I'd rather see the background initially.
Can you change the command to make the app run as a minimized window?
Thanks,
Jackn
