We need to know the names (and locations!) of medically-related extensions.

WE DO NOT NEED EXTENSIONS FOR OTHER PURPOSES!

If you are a medical/health professional or just know of one, let us know here. We intend to compile a list.

a quick search at the firefox add-on site shows pretty much nothing...

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=medical&status=4

What exactly are you looking for? What specifically do you need the extensions to do?

I know there is one on bioinformatics (horrid spelling) but to be honest I have no idea what it is supposed to do:confused: or how it works.

Biofox is the only one I know of and it is likely the one charlie was talking about concerning bioinformatics. I have no idea how to use the damn thing though :P

Sebastian mentioned something about a Pubmed/TWiki extension but I haven't seen a link yet. I've used Pubmed before but am unclear what TWiki is and how it would be of use.

Can anyone point to a howto on how to make a FF extension?

My guess is that Sebastian was referring to the EFetchPlugin (http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/Plugins/EFetchPlugin) for TWiki.

Can anyone point to a howto on how to make a FF extension?Sure can, start from here (http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Extensions) ;)

We aren't looking for anything in particular, just a medically-themes' extension that a medical professional would find useful.

We don't need links to TMP or Greasemonkey and so forth. Just medical extensions or any other useful plugin.

The only extension that has some relevance to medicine is Zotero which helps collect and organize references.
