Hey guys, I found something fairly interesting that I'm sure most of y'all have heard of... O'Reilly Network Safari Bookshelf (http://safari.oreilly.com). It looks like a sweet little deal, and I'm seriously considering subscribing, but I'd like to see if anyone has used it before... I'm assuming as Linux friendly as O'reilly is, the books don't come in a format that's locked to Windows, but... well, that's why I'm asking. ;-)

Anybody used this service?

Phil

I've been considering it for a while, but haven't done anything about it yet. Looks pretty funky though.

I've been using it for about 2 years. You get to browse the books online as plain html and if you pay more you can download whole chapters as pdf's. My favorite feature is the search. I can put a bunch of javascript books in my bookshelf then tell it to search my books for 'XMLHttpRequest' and find all instances of it. It's very usefull. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.
