I'm a pretty big newbie to Linux, but I have Edgy running with Beryl/XGL, Kiba-Dock, desklets, and a few other minor eye candy things.
Can I run the CE script to convert this and still have Beryl, etc. run ok after reboot? I'd be pretty frustrated if I have to start from scratch again...
Thanks...

The convert_me script won't touch installed programs (except for the firefox theme and that stuff). If you want, download the script and open its folder. Open the file ".start" (it is hidden), and take out (or put # in front of) any of the lines referring to the desktop appearance or programs you don't need.
[edit] I just noticed what you said in the thread title. I have never had problems converting a modified installation, but some may. Jereme has modified the scripts so well, you shouldn't have a problem.
