My memory was faulty in my PC i didnt know until it screwed my kernal up.
my point is there seems to be no validation on the update manager, when it downloads and unstalls the packages every now and then i was getting corrupted package, cant continue, and i think to myself why doesnt the package manager after its downloaded check the validity of the packages it has downloaded before it installs.
This may happen and it could just be down to my memory, just wondering if any fail safes are or could be in place to prevent complete OS failure.
It needed a complete reinstall as i could access anything following the kernal panic. it dont bother me as its a test box, just would be good to iron out these things expecially when it goes mainstream.
