I'm new to ubuntu and finding it hard. What software do i need to download to install and run games.

Well, if you install games from the repo, you shouldn't worried about dependency.
If you want to compile something from scratch then it is another talk.
Some games is dynamic binary (means that they need specific libs installed your system globally, also means the game uses less resources).
Then again there's static binaries which comes with their own libs.


I think you need to be more specific.

And also, there are Windows games :P

If you want to install them, ask :)

I've had so many problems with it that I know how to fix it no matter what :P

I'm having problems with Call of Duty... Would you be able to help there?? I have posted about it in this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=357365) thread. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
