I have just enetered the world of linux, and so far I love it. Well, that is except for one thing.... I have comcast internet and cannot get online using my linux system. I have been trying to find a way to install Wine without an internet connection and I can't do it. I need Help. I am sure if I can get Wine installed I will be able to do the rest (ie. install the drivers for the modem) is there a way that this can happen of am I SOL for using Linux and Comcast.

Ps called Comcast.... they have little to no support for linux... I was walking HIM through steps.
My MAC address is register (through another of my computers) and he had an IP address, but linux was recieving nothing, could not surf could not get updates. PLEASE HELP ME :)
