c64 emulator

Well I can't get a single c64 emulator to work - not one !

I can get ec64 to start, but it won't load anything.

Frodo puts a pile of garabge on the screen during"'makeing'and then won't display any setting menu (is there any ? there''s nothing in the docs about it).

Another emulator stuffs up the sound for everything else.

And CCS is utterly cryptic.

Has anyone ever got a c64 emulator to work ? Anyone ?

You can try vice, for some reason doesn't like my video card, but works well for others.

I got Vice to work on Ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Drake)

All I did was pretty much follow this Blog entry: (except I was using Vice 1.22 so I did not need to edit any files, I just needed to do the apt-gets that are mentioned in that blog).

Vice works really well, though I get some minor keyboard as joystick problems.
