Could anyone recommend an ftp server where I can get the latest linux patches and
addon packs for ut2004.

Since you're in the UK you'll find the irish unreal community website (www.unreal.ie) very fast. I'll put up the linux patch in the download section today, there are plenty of maps / mods already there and it's on a 100Mbps direct connection.

I've put the linux patch in the downloads section. No login required or any of that jazz.
