When I try to install the newest ATI drivers,I get the error "E: Couldn't find package linux-restricted-modules" on the first step.

I think that it's just not searching hard enough, because according to the Synaptic Package Manager, I have not 1, but 2 versions of the restricted modules for K7 and 386 modules. That's a quadruple redundancy. It still can't find them.

What's up?

What kernel are you using? The restricted modules are in multiverse. Do you have that repository activated?

If you have one set of restricted modules, you should have them for all arches. I do not see why you ony have two!

So, essentially how do I get them?
