Hi Everyone,

I am trying to install Avant windows navigator, but get an error saying I need libwnck-1.0 . I have searched in the repositories, but it wasn't there. After some searching, I found An Install Guide (http://awn.wetpaint.com/page/Stable+Release+Download). I tried to install the packages, but got an error message. I tried installing them individually, but hit a problem. When installing libwnck-dev, I get:
libwnck-dev:
Depends: libwnck18 (=2.16.1-0ubuntu1.1) but 2.16.1-0ubuntu1.1awn is to be installed]

I tried to re-install libwnck18, but the option is blanked out. I clicked Mark for complete removal, but it says it will need to uninstall nearly every program I have. What can I do? How do I install libwnck-dev?

Thanks.

search the installing Avant forum and look at other peoples comments..someone else had the same problem..including myelf...i dont remember the command but you eseentially have to install an older version of that and then upgrade to that version again.

Thanks. I searched a while back now, and found exactly that thread. It worked!
