Let me start by saying this. Ubuntu has to be the most stable ,easy to install and supports more hardware that anything else i've tried. (Linux wise)
Say what you want about windows, but at least it works on almost anything.
What's the deal with openSuse 10.1 and 10.2 freezing on install? What's the deal with Fedora 8 asking for the second disk then it says cannot access disk? Talking about buggy!
Their was nothing wrong with the disk. The same machine installed Ubuntu,Win2000 and WinXP Pro with no trouble.
No wonder Linux will have a hard time gaining the marketplace windows has. Ubuntu has the best chance in my opinion. The only trouble is integrating with the majority of the computer operating systems which is Windows. I'm not talking about just a plain jane Workgroup,I'm talking about Linux autheticating with active directory. The Ubuntu group should work on this to gain some marketshare with windows.
I'm no fan of Microsoft,in fact i think they are getting too greedy with the prices.
