A new version of HLA Adventure has been released for Linux/Ubuntu. The version number is now 3.10.

Additions to this version include:

Bug fixes, a "talk to" command (allowing the player to communicate with monsters in the game), the deletion of the "lk" command (to avoid confusion with "talk", from the parser's point of view) and an expanded "help" command display.

HLA Adventure can be downloaded freely from the websites below:

http://www.geocities.com/dunric/hlaadv.html

and

http://members.tripod.com/~panks/hlaadv.html

You may need to reload or refresh the webpage for the latest version of HLA Adventure to be available for download. Sometimes browsers "cache" the old saved files and make downloading them instantaneous. By refreshing or reloading the webpage, it ensures that the browser only downloads the latest version.

The program runs under "xterm" or other similar terminals.

Sincerely,

Paul Panks
