If you want to join the team, you are free to do so. However, please note that it is not for asking support. So if you want to join the team because you have problems with your hardware, that is not a valid reason. To join the team, you should be a member who wants to help other people with their hardware problems.

I don't consider bean count very important as to how skilled a person is, but if you are a very new member, then send me a PM along with your application.

I am interested in having people who:
Can deal with graphical issues - drivers and stuff like that, and can guide people on such issues.
Can figure out laptops and wifi - very important.
Can help solve desktop issues with miscellaneous hardware.
Can help out with printers and other devices.Obviously, knowing 1 or more of the above is enough...if you know how to solve all 4, then you should be in the team already, what are you waiting for!

for those who looked at above and worried:confused: -would I be suitable:-

if you know how to find a chipset by querying usb and pci etc
then
search forums / google and docs. and provide a link and possibly a little help

you can help provide support to people.

If everyone could just do a little bit of this then it would clear up a lot of straight forward support questions

I should have said that myself, hehe...but it's true. Not everyone is an expert, (hell knows I ain't one myself) but everyone is invited to help. That said, if you absolutely know nothing about Linux, then please do use Google and the forums to help you.

Hey Lord Illidan

hmm I would be happy to join your hardware team

perhaps I am not the biggest geek in hardware
but I know my laptop dell 1501 pretty well, I mean graphic issues, setting the wlan
drives and so on, I had nuked everything and fixed it

I even had to disassemble my lappy once :)

what else to say I am pretty involved in Ubuntu now and want to broaden my horizons :)
