Hello,

I'm not a notorious gamer but I like to play CS with my buds from time to time ... Well... I have been missing from the scene since I ditched windows and using fully Ubuntu, +1 year... Today, I thought to gave it a shot and get back into the game :) I installed CS 1.6 with wine-0.9.28 on my Ubuntu Dapper box and it works ok... The only problem is when CS is started, I can't find anyone into my home LAN :( Is there anything I can do to fix that? I have ICS with Firestarter and Samba server. Any other computers from the home LAN (3 Windows workstations) can see my Ubuntu server, we can share files form one to each other, etc...

Thanks a lot!

same is the case with me...I can run Counter Strike 1.6 & Condition Zero on ubuntu with 1.1.5

The problem is that, when I can't join or host servers..

The game hangs when on the info window that pops up upon joining a game.

Did you try to disable firestarter?
