MacBook VMware Fusion Screen Resolution

I have recently installed the Ubuntu 6.06 VMware Appliance on my 1.83ghz Core Duo Macbook (512mb RAM). It works great, except the screen resolution is stuck at 800 x 600. It can go down to 640 x 480, but 800 x 600 is the max. Is there anyway to get it to at least 1024 x 768.

there are two things to consider. Some VM's have a video resolution config. Make sure that it is set to go as high as you want. Second, you might have to go into and edit the /etc/X11/xorg.conf and add the resolutions you would like.
