I just love when Microsoft releases a slew of upgrades. It wreaks havoc everywhere I go.

At work, We had to convert some online presentations from WMA to Flash because WMP 11 wasn't playing nice. We had to "fix" our website several times because IE7 wouldn't render the pages correctly. Some of our navigation menus no longer worked.

At school, they use blackboard. I keep getting all these security infos regarding IE7 and stuff.

Now I just got this little message...

Wed, Mar 07, 2007 -- Microsoft Vista and IE 7
Microsoft Vista and Internet Explorer 7 do not work and play well with BlackBoard. In particular, you may have problems with the discussion board and digital drop box. There is no work-around for this yet. You are encouraged to use IE 6, or Firefox (which works best, in general, with Bb.)

This is the third one. They keep having to take the server offline sometimes to do "fixes". It makes it difficult to do my schoolwork. My professors post all the research articles there and that's where I have to post my papers as well.

At home, well, I use Linux. So no problems there.:)

LoL man what a pain. One reason why I switched to Linux. MS is trying to push its new software on everyone... and its so new its got so many problems. Its really annoying and it really pisses me off.

Exactly. I'm hoping and praying that Microsoft's faux pas with Vista winds up opening doors for Linux, because I HATE Microsoft with a purple...uh, brown and orange (Ubuntu colors) passion!

fredbird67: You do realize that you're reviving a lot of *really* *old* threads, right? That's often considered impolite behavior on message boards such as this.
