So, I have this specific dock in mind that I want to use. But I can't seem to find it! I've been doing some searching for dock options on Ubuntu Edgy and I found 4 that are common.

Gnome-dock: http://www.gnome-dock.org

Kiba-dock: http://www.kiba-dock.org

Avant Window Navigator: http://awn.wetpaint.com

Engage: http://www.enlightenment.org/Applications/Engage/

I currently use AWN as a window switcher and I LOVE IT. But now I also want an application launcher and I have something specific in mind.

I would like a dock that sits in the top left corner of the screen that could auto hide. So, when you hover your cursor in the top left, the Ubuntu logo pops up. And when you click on it, a drop down menu appears similar to the main menu panel option.

Are there any corner docks? Are there any other dock options that I've missed.

Thanks!

Get the gdesklets daemon and install the dock in there. It is listed under misc/launchers I believe. It's not super fancy but it fills the role of a dock excellently.

I'm not sure if this helps, but after googling for Gnome-dock it I found this > http://www.gnome-dock.org/trac/wiki/Develop
