Hi all

I am interested in developing gui applications for X-windows, in C++
Can anyone help me to get started; which libraries and development tools can be suitable?
I have used Borland and Microsoft Visual C++ for Windows before, is there any similar graphical development tool available for X windows?

thank's in advance

/David

this is the setup i use: http://nostdal.org/~lars/writings/about-c-getting-started-under-ubuntu/ .. pt.3 talks about creating GUI applications using libraries like GTK+ and tools/libraries like Glade

i use Emacs but you can use most IDEs/editors for this stuff .. KDevelop seems reasonable (even though it's QT-based you can develop GTK+ software with it ofc.)
