I'm an Ubuntu newbie. I've installed 6.06 Ubuntu recently and I've had different problems with games and graphics. Mostly 1st-person shooters.
I used Synaptic to install Nexuiz, but it was unbelievably slow. I also downloaded Cube 2 from sourceforge which came with a linux binary, but the game was slow also and eventually froze up.
Any ideas what's going on?
My system is fairly decent. 64-bit processer. 1 Gig ram. Radeon Xpress 200 graphics card. I've never had problems with windows games, so I know my system can handle these games.
Do I need to download/enable some graphics libraries or something?
Thanks
