I was just wondering what the purpose of this project is, now that we have NetworkManager.
To me they seem to do the same thing with the exception that one is a part of Gnome while the other is not.
Please enlighten me :)

I myself don't know much about this project either but I think that the main purpose of it is so that it uses fewer resources and only depends on Python, PyGTK and GTK+ libraries only. From what I have read about it, it's supposed to be smaller, and also it uses WPA-Supplicant.
Other than that, hopefully you can get an actual answer from the main developer. Hopefully he can get this out in time for Xubuntu Feisty Fawn, as I want something nice and lightweight too (currently using Network-Manager).
