I can't answer that question with a definite answer!
Arch has a straight forward (clean) base, but frugalware is stable (non rolling release). In my book that's a tie.

The AUR weighs heavily in arch:s favour, but that is technically not an OS component, but a service, such as the wiki, bugtracker and the forums (wich btw also kick ***!)

Well...

I haven't tried Frugalware yet, even though I have burnt their last RC iso. Since it seems their next version will come up right this March, I'll wait a few weeks more before trying. So, I cannot say about Frugalware.

I haven't read much about Aegean. From the few I have read it seems to be a custimized Arch install but yet a bit standing with the KISS principle.

Underground Desktop is CRAP! It's a custimized Arch install but did not work right on my PC. Its said to make Arch's install easy and to be "ready to use", but it simply did not work right with me. The screen resolution comes flawed, the fonts are crazy. I had much more success installing plain Arch and tweaking it just a little small bit, having no problems to use 3D, problems with resolution or fonts or whatever. Plus, UD's installer is also crap. Yes, UD is still alpha, there's much room for improvement. So let's not judge it yet!

About Arch... Arch is just Arch and I love it!

Won't cast my vote yet before I try Frugalware.

+1 again, on all points. And yaourt makes the entire business seamless. :D

If pacman is the best thing since sliced bread, yaourt is the best thing since butter and honey for that bread.

This thread has hit the best points about Arch:
-Pacman / Yaourt
-Rolling Release
-Aur / Abs
-Arch Community
-Speed, speed, and more speed

Agree all the points except for "Arch community". Their user-base is very small. I have several threads that sit on their forums for weeks and no one replies. Don't get me wrong, I actually like Arch a lot. If they have the same user-base as Ubuntu and the same documentation as Gentoo, they can kick any distro's *** any day.
