Hi

I am thinking about trying ubuntu on a Mac Pro (Xeon 64-bit). When I am about to choose the correct image to download I've got the following doubt:

Do I need to pick the 'PC (Intel x86) desktop CD' ( says: "This includes most machines with Intel/AMD/etc ... Choose this if you are at all unsure." ) or the '64-bit PC (AMD64) desktop CD' (says: "For computers based on the AMD64 or EM64T architecture (e.g., ... EM64T Xeon). ...") ?

Is the mac Xeon compilant to EM64T standard ?

I just wish to click the right link :)

Thank you

Depends if you want a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system. Because you have a 64bit pc you can use both. I get the impression that because of the lack of actual true 32 bit apps most people, including myself, use th2 32 bit version. <Waiting for correction from community ;) >
