Specs: Apple iMac @ 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1 GB DDR2 Memory, 8x SuperDrive, 160 GB Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
Software: Parallels Desktop for Mac, Build 3036

I am currently running Feisty Fawn (Herd 4) on a virtual machine. How can I check how much RAM is assigned to it, and how much do you recommend I use?
Feisty Fawn does not seem to recognize either the SuperDrive or my USB printer. As such, I can use OpenOffice, but can't print any documents. Any way around both of these issues?
My iMac also has a 128 MB ATI Radeon x1600 card. I don't think my Ubuntu virtual machine recognizes this, so I can't use Beryl or any other advanced effects that the ATI card can provide. Should I try the fglrx driver, or will it only work on a native install?

1. I don't know the answer to this problem

2. Parallels isn't good at recongnizing external media. There might be a uber geeky way around this

3. Parallels doesn't support accelerated 3-D effects.

So I can't use Beryl at all? Ah... no big deal. Will future versions of Parallels support 3d?

They are working on 3D acceleration under the virtual machine.

That's good to hear. I also have an older build, though. I think the latest is 3170, and I'm still using 3036.
