Dapper has integrated Firefox 1.5.0.x There will be no more security updates after 1 May. Dapper has 3 year support included security patches for integrated components. Firefox is vital. Question: What can we expect now? New LTS build width Firefox 2.0.0.x or something else?

..still no comment ? I was hoping that this will be solve by release of new lts build widthout pushing users to edgy or feisty or (better solution) by automatic upgrading to firefox 2. Third solution installing firefox 2 or swiftfox 2 4 plain users can be hard way.

Just because Mozilla isn't going to provide security fixes doesn't mean that Debian and Ubuntu won't. In fact, I think that was one of the reasons for the whole IceWeasel uproar over at Debian. Mozilla pretty much told them that they couldn't use the official branding if they didn't submit patches for "Official Approval". The Debian guys then pointed out that they would still be providing security updates to older versions of Firefox long after Mozilla dropped support for them. Short answer, I don't think that you need to worry.

Superb. I have lots of installation on schools and kindergardens of dapper width automatic security upgrade. i have only native language translation for Firefox 1.5 not v2. I am more than satisfied.
