I installed the JDK 1.5 package with the help of a spanish Ubuntu website, the package seems to go fine, I converted the .bin package to .deb with a program that was caled something like 'make-jkg'. SoI installed that one, and then I tested a Java based page and the applet loaded fine.
I also downloaded NetBeans, and when I try to run the installer (I already chmodded +x to the package) absolutely NOTHING happens, really, nothing at all, I can't even see any item.
So I wanted some recommendation on this. I really want to test using:
NetBeans
Jedit
Eclipse
and then decide which program is better
