Hey everybody, I'm kinda new with Ubuntu and I just did something that was very bad. The story goes that I was having problems with some of my media files not responding to my music programs. I figured out that the file permission was set to the root (system admin) instead of my username. After what I did was I set the folder location of my username to the /root folder instead of the /home/username folder. Now I can't logon to Ubuntu and the only thing that I can access is a terminal to my username, but I don't have the permissions to grant anything. Is there a way to overide the root user and get into the desktop? I've tried adding new users with passwords on the terminal and it still doesn't work. Any ideas?
