I just installed UT2k4, but it won't minimize. How do I get it to minimize? This is extremely important. Is there a key command that I don't know of? (Alt-tab doesn't work)

To get my World of Warcraft minimized, i use some sort of trick because alt-tab also wont work.

I have a logitech multimedia keyboard with a lot of buttons above the function keys.
In System -> preferences -> Keyboard shortcuts i bounded 1 of those keys to firefox.

Now whenever i want to alt-tab, i jsut press my firefox button, firefox pops-up and i'm back in gnome,

OK, its not the best solution ever, but it works :)

In Civilization Call to Power to minimize the game i hit Ctrl + Z it may be the same for this games. (???)

( I'm currently at work, so no gnome desktop environment and i can be wrong )

It's in System -> Preferences -> Keyboard Shortcuts
Then look for an entry caled webbrowser or firefox (or maybe another program)
Left Click once and then press the right button on your keyboard

tada...

Edit:
Look for "launch web browser" shortcut

Wow, I just tried that while pressing the buttons on my laptop which till now didn't do anything. Cheers!

I use one for lock screen, the other for Firefox..
