View Full Version : Pointless distraction: THE LAST WORD

My fiancee posts on another message board where there is a 1000 post limit for any single thread. Occasionally, they play a forum game where they have a really, really long meandering conversation, hoping to get up to the 1000 post limit. Whoever makes the 1000th post gets THE LAST WORD and wins the game. Is there any such limit on this board? I'm pretty new here, so has this game been played before?

In case anyone's interested in trying...

My last word is Ubuntu! (surprise, surprise)

My personal opinion , this would be a waste of time and bandwidth.

bet you still can't use 40GB per day (http://backports.ubuntuforums.org/stats/usage_200505.html) playing this game. ;)

I'm almost positive that, if the posts DIDN'T get out of hand and ridiculous, the thread would get annoying enough to lock ;)

I just can't waste such bandwith when there are some good people in the world (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=36225&highlight=knoppix) that are still using a 44kbps line.. *Oh my.. 1700+ posts..*
