hello,

i have noticed that the start menu of ubuntu contains a command line which launch the memtest dos program.

Is it possible to add in the start menu the free ntfs4dos program and also a free anti-virus dos program?

I need to build a rescue live cd for windows xp crash computer.

The ntfs4dos program will be used only for testing the hard drive with chkdsk /r command line.

thank you for your help.

The start menu you refer to is actually the boot loader menu. Memtest isn't a DOS program, it doesn't run under an operating system. Check out http://www.memtest86.com for more information on it.

You might have use for FreeDOS (http://www.freedos.org) to run your DOS programs under, but this has nothing to do with Ubuntu or Linux. Good luck.
