Does someone have a backport of the latest Mono (1.2.3.1) for Edgy? I have found viraptor site, but he has not yet updated to 1.2.3.1. 1.2.3 made a big leap forward in the Windows.Form compatibility which I could use.

Even better, is it possible to use the Feisty packages for Edgy? I don't want to switch to Feisty at this time, but it would be great if I could keep up to date with the latest Mono release.

I'm also extremely interested to find out if someone has packed the latest mono (1.2.3) for Edgy. I'm dying to give it a try...

I'd love to have this too (specifically x86_64 packages of mono 1.2.3). I tried converting the RPMs on the mono website with alien, as well as building from SVN myself, but I could never get it working correctly -- I kept getting different exceptions after installing.

Why is it so hard to get simple things to run when you do not want the conventional stuff? I do not want nor like microsoft or their products, but companies seem to... I need to get Printmaster 16 Gold to run on my computer. I am about to install Ubuntu 6.10 on it. But before I do, I need to know I can get this program to run (wife uses it for business). I read on its system requirements that it needs .Net Framework 1.1.

Anyone know how hard that would be to run on Ubuntu 6.10 and what to do to get this item running?
