Wine and MS Hearts [Archive]

I got Wine from the Repos and can't get it to run mshearts.exe (Windows 98 version with Networking) from a Windows 98 machine. It keeps yelling at me about "Cannot find cards.dll. Hearts will end." I have verified that cards.dll.so exists and have placed it in the "Windows" folder in wine and in the folder I put hearts in. There's nothing on Google that I could dig up.

What about installing gnome-hearts?

gnome-hearts should be fine, but if you really insist on using the MS version:

Gnome-Hearts doesn't have network support. Thanks for the suggestion.

I looked at that page, It doesn't help. The error is it can't find "cards.dll" even though it's there. Thanks anyway.

Is it possible that Wine has become so advanced that it has lost support for the simplest of things?

Have you tried putting it in the system or system32 directory?
