I just did an install of Ubuntu 6.10.
It is stable, fast and beautiful!

I am curious if there is going to be an updated version of 6.10 with all the updates rolled in for frequent formatters like myself?

Thanks for any info. :)

I'd kind of doubt it. The only maintenance release is, probably not coincidentally, for the only LTS release. Feisty is coming out in April, I think that would be considered the maintenance release for Edgy.

Just speculating.

Thanks for the reply.
That makes sense, I forgot that 6.10 is not a LTS release.

I made a backup copy of my apt archives for 6.10 to speed up my reinstallations.

I will also be downloading Feisty today to give it a test run.

I concur with LotsOfPhil, I doubt it very much. Apart from the LTS release I can't remember any previous release having a further point release.

You could set yourself up with a local repository made of updates, burn it on a CD and add it when you install a new system.

Just a thought.
